For that work, he surgically implanted a microchip (encased in a glass capsule) into his hand. The capsule is literally connected to the physical capsule in his hand in that it carries the same code as the one store on the microchip. The gif is composed of many layers: A rendering of a glass capsule, an ASCII code background (a technique that he uses in his physical paintings), and an animation based on the escape scene from the film “The Truman Show”. Edition of 10 – Numbered on the bottom right of the capsule.

Perhaps these are the decoders of Post-history themselves, trying to enter into understanding of the previous age of man. Robness 'Post-Historic' series is an experiment in aesthetic style that blends the primitive cave arts aesthetic and blends it with an abstract superfuture, where objects from the past history of the human race is rediscovered, only to be misinterpreted by a primitive race in a far away future.

Not knowing how to interpret the information or technology they use the items and language in their own perception and possible survival use cases. Here we see a plethora of inscriptions from what seems to be a new language system of upside down computer keyboard symbols. The meanings are unknown and also interesting that there was no one to tell this future race which way to properly read these symbols.
